Babywearing-instinctive Parenting course 1

For pregnant women, newborn babies, and first-time baby-wearers.

The 4 sessions in this course will teach the basics of baby-wearing and the fundamental principles for your understanding and confidence as a parent:

• The development and transition from the womb to the sling
• What does the world look like to a new born
• Why is the beginning of life so important, and its place in the development from baby to child.
• How to harmonize your babies needs with your own needs.
• Diapering, elimination and communication
• Sleeping and newborns
• Breast feeding and newborns
• Carrying your young baby comfortably and safely in a front-side sling (draagdoek)
• Breast-feeding in the sling.

Price 75,- per person 125,- per couple

Babywearing - instinctive  Parenting course 2

This course builds from the principles of ‘Baby-wearing course 1′. I recommend attending this course after your baby is 3 months. After the baby is 3 months, the sooner you start, the easier it is.

The 6 sessions of this course will teach a greater variety of baby-wearing options and will focus on the parenting issues that continue to challenge parents as their babies grow:

• The transition from the sling to the world
• How the baby develops in the first year and experiences its world
• The learning process of the baby, and the learning process of the parent
• Breast feeding and the introduction of food
• Sleeping and babies
• Harmonizing your needs with your baby’s changing needs
• Carrying your baby on your back
• High back carries, so your baby can look over your shoulder
• Low back carries, so your baby’s weight seems to disappear
• Transferring your baby from the front to your back, and back to the front
• Using your sling as your second pair of hands

Price: 110,- per person  165,- per couple

Practical information:
For some time now, I have had so many workshops, births and private sessions that I haven’t organized as many courses as I would like to. In order to maintain a balance in my career and personal life,  I have therefore created a system in which people that feel inspired to do so can organize courses for themselves.

How does this work?
1. Share this idea within your community and find out what you and your peers are interested in learning about.
2. You can contact me by email via info.sabina@gmail.com and let me know what type of course you are interested in organizing.
3. I will reply with possible dates. From these dates, choose what works best for you and your group.
4. You decide along with the other people which days you prefer and confirm that with me. I will then email you a registration form.
5. I will put the dates and a description of your organized course on my website, with your email so if other people want to join, they can simply contact you.
6. Finally, you will be responsible for sending (via email) the provided registration form to all of the participants. When I receive the completed forms, I will confirm participation.

The person responsible for organizing the course will have the wonderful opportunity of creating a community, sharing their inspirations with others, not to mention the convenience of determining a date and time that works best for them. Additionally, by creating the course, I will offer you a financial incentive. When you organize a course with a minimum of 5 people (including yourself), you will receive a discount of 50%. However, if you create a group of 9 people, yourself included, you will pay no course fees.
